NORCOR epidemiologi og register prosjektet ble startet i 2014 og pågår fortsatt. Prosjektet ledes av Elise Sverre (foto) og omfatter flere observasjonsstudier der formålet er å fremskaffe ny kunnskap om behandling og oppfølging av pasienter med akutt koronarsykdom etter utskrivelse fra sykehus. Vi studerer forekomst av kardiovaskulære risikofaktorer og ser på betydningen av demografiske, kliniske og psykososiale faktorer for risikofaktorkontroll og prognose. Data er koblet til Reseptregisteret i Norge slik at vi kan studere forskrivningspraksis og etterlevelse av kardiovaskulære medikamenter.
Prosjektet har så langt resultert i to gjennomførte PhD grader og to masteroppgaver og omfatter per i dag en post-doktor forskere og to PhD stipendiater. Data fra prosjektet har også inngått i delarbeider i ytterligere en gjennomført PhD grader og to pågående PhD prosjekter.
